crcm missions

A pioneer in cancer research, the Cancer Research Center of Marseille (CRCM) has been working for over 50 years to better understand the major biological mechanisms behind the disease and translate them into medical innovations. The CRCM stands out for its integrative approach - combining fundamental, translational and clinical research - in close collaboration with the Paoli-Calmettes Institute, the regional cancer center. This synergy, which brings laboratory research closer to clinical applications, makes CRCM a major player in the understanding and treatment of cancer.

Understanding EZH2 activities in leukemia, a potential therapeutic strategy
Our research is funded by INCA and the Japanese company ASPIRE as part of a Franco-Japanese collaborative program aimed at improving our understanding of the mechanisms underlying the dysregulation of the EZH2 enzyme in leukemia. Our goal is to shed light on the regulatory mechanisms of EZH2’s oncogenic activity, which could serve as a therapeutic target.
