The Marseille Cancer Research Center celebrates its 50th anniversary ! -

Significant evolutions are taking place at CRCM with the strengthening of two of its teams. In addition to their respective skills, we’re discovering fascinating personalities and diverse backgrounds.

The group of Flavio Maina


After 20 years within the IBDM, the team of Flavio Maina (DR CNRS) came to CRCM to join Jean-Paul Borg’s team. Welcome to Inès Barahonaine, Olivier Castellanet, Nathan Corvaisier, Margherita Grattarola, Nicolas Pons, Celia Sequera, Aurélie Dobric and Fabienne Lamballe.

Jean-Paul and Flavio will co-lead the team “Targeting Signalling Networks and Microenvironment in Cancer”.

The group of Dominique Payet-Bornet

Dominique Payet-Bornet’s group, led by the CNRS Research Director, has been working on T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia for 15 years. The current team consists of Marie Loosveld (professor-clinician), Delphine Potier (CNRS research director), Clémence Grosjean (engineer with a fixed-term contract) and two PhD students: Mathis Nozais and Julie Quessada.

Originally based at the CIML, the group joined Estelle Duprez’s “Epigenetic factors in hematopoiesis” team at the CRCM in 2023.
