Nelson Dusetti and his team, in collaboration with clinicians at the Institut Paoli-Calmettes, have developed a molecular signature test to predict the sensitivity of pancreatic cancer patients to the molecules used in existing chemotherapy protocols. The Franco-Canadian PRODIGE-24/CCTG PA6 clinical trial, funded in France by the Ministry of Health and the Ligue nationale contre le cancer, revealed that this molecular signature allows the tailored treatment of patients, reduce the associated risks of toxicity, and therefore improve their chances of survival.
