The “Marseille Immunology Biocluster” project is the recipient of the Bioclusters France 2030 call for proposals

The Marseille Immunology Biocluster (MIB), led by Professor Daniel Olive (AMU-IPC/CRCM) and Dr. Hervé Brailly (PhD), has been awarded the national “Biocluster” call for proposals with a funding of 97 million euros.

“The announcement of the creation of the Marseille biocluster is a recognition of the excellence in immunology research in the region and the dynamism of our biotech sector. Geographically located at the heart of the cluster, IPC and CRCM will significantly contribute to the oncology and immunology aspects of the project,” highlights Professor Norbert Vey.

The MIB aims to “accelerate the development of drug candidates for cancer, autoimmune diseases, and infectious diseases, from the conception and optimization of the drug candidate to clinical trials, addressing unmet medical needs,” he further explains.

One of its objectives is to foster projects in the field of immunology through an international network of experts engaged in antibody discovery and development.

The MIB will be a truly global innovation ecosystem, bringing together laboratories, research centers, healthcare facilities, and companies working in the field of immunology.
